Surah Az-Zumar verse 53 shifts the perspective of believers from despair to hope. It reminds those who have wronged themselves that no matter how far they have gone in sin, the door to Allah’s mercy remains open.

Allah addresses humanity with a compassionate call: “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah.” The verse acknowledges a central truth about human nature—people make mistakes, sometimes repeatedly. Yet the response from Allah is not rejection, but an invitation to return.

The command not to despair is significant. Despair can lead a person to believe that forgiveness is no longer possible, creating distance between the servant an

Have you considered Allah's compassion for us?

In moments of remorse, sometimes we lose hope in ArRahman's mercy. We think we are irredeemable and lost forever, overwhelmed by the things we've done. Yet we are aware of Allah's mercy; he is the Most Merciful, after all. But our hearts may still die out from regret. Yet there is an incredible compassion in how Allah brings us out of hopelessness in the Quran. These are how it feels reading the following verses:

39:53: "Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah."

12:87: "Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah!"

The first feels as if Allah is cutting through our remorse to remind us not to lose hope; that He can forgive it all. But we may err aga

JazAllahu Khyran for this beautiful reflection. Allah(SWT) is always ready to forgive, all it takes is for us to turn to Him in repentance. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. May Allah bless you!

'Keep Your Faith Strong and Hopes Alive' These are the words of one of my senior Managers to me many years ago at a crucial moment in my life.  Today, I pondered on what it meant to me then and what it  means to me now.  It is about choosing faith over fear.  When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) hid in the cave during their migration to Madinah, the threat surrounding them was real and terrifying. Their enemies were so close that one step further could have led to their capture. In this intense moment of fear and vulnerability, the Prophet (peace be upon him) spoke words that continue to inspire hearts: *'```Do not griev

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful, I had made a simple but sincere Dua to go to Makkah and Madinah. I had no idea it would be accepted so quickly. It was as though I had been teleported to these two most sacred cities. I was getting my head around being in the places which are the most sacred places in the world. My heart, being very heavy and I was ready to pour everything that was disturbing it, to the Lord of the worlds. At the same time just being there I was incredibly grateful for. Nowhere in the world feels tranquil right now. There is murder, genocide, strife, injustice and so on. Yet, here under the canopies and umbrellas of Masjid Al Nabawi, as

When I began writing my book, it was for my own healing. I was looking for a book, written by a Muslim brother or sister going through the real dark side of daily struggles. Someone who's been lost and guided, someone who knows the thin line between life and death (truly knows) Someone who wakes up and cries in disappointment sometimes because the previous night they were 'ready'. They went to bed clean, prayed for hours and poured their heart out to Allah SWT an hour before Fajr then went back to sleep in the hope Allah SWT frees them from this delusion called Dunya. Yes, it seems a little crazy, doesn't it? But it's true and its very real. I could go on.

~Just Bear it a Little More~

كُلُّ شَىْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُۥۚ لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ. (28:88) 'Every thing is going to perish except His Face. He alone has the right to judge, and to Him you are to be returned.' كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ. وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ. (27-55:26) 'Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will remain forever.'

These ayahs remind us of the fact that everything will pass and be left behind.. And that from the moment I taste death and leave the world behind until the day I will get resurrected again, there will be only Him, my Lord, with me. So bear a litt

There are so many takeaways from the response Musa (AS) gave in this moment, standing between the Red Sea and the army of the worst and most powerful man in the world, while his people panicked around him.

When leading, model the best course of action instead of telling people what to do. Musa (AS) demonstrated modeling good action as a leader. He could instead reprimand his people for lacking trust in Allah, after all the miracles (and tests) they saw and all the ways Allah had already delivered them. He could have said, 'Allah is with US' , which would have felt like a dismissal of legitimate emotions in a terrifying moment. Instead, he said, 'Allah is with ME.' He spoke for himself onl

جزاكم الله خيرا كثيرا. Musa had certain belief in Allah's plan when asked to confront Phirun, answer his challenges, move with Bani Israel to sinai and promised land. The sea was first barrier from pursuing Phirun, and when Phirun reached striking distance, Musa didn't panic, striking the sea was revealed after he confirmed his faith and leadership for wavering and complaining Bani Israel, and the Miracle unfolded and Phirun was destroyed.

Better days to come.

I was once reminded of a beautiful expression in Arabic by a relative, which loosely translates into 'in Sha Allah, the coming days will be more beautiful'.

This hopeful expression, which bears resemblance to 'better days to come' reminded me of a promise from Allah in the Quran in Surat Al-Duha in verse 4.

Allah promised the next life is far better than this one.

So, better days to come in Sha Allah, not only in an impermanent, imperfect world where there can be pain, loss, and sickness.

But better days to come in Sha Allah in an eternal life where there is relief, love, and healing.

We are reassured of this in verse 5 - 'and surely God will give so much to you

There are two emotions most humans will spend their entire lives avoiding or chasing. Many will avoid sadness and many will chase joy. It's only human after all to avoid discomfort and pain and pursue comfort and happiness, though we know growth happens when we leave our 'comfort zones' and trials can lead to our greatest transformations. Allah qualifies the two emotions of sadness and joy, which He tells us He has enabled us to feel in Surat Al Najm, verse 43: 'Moreover, He is the One Who brings about joy and sadness', by reminding us in the verse preceding it and following it of our ultimate destination. God reminds us in verse 42 that to Him alone is the ultimate return of a
