~Just Bear it a Little More~

كُلُّ شَىْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُۥۚ لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ. (28:88) 'Every thing is going to perish except His Face. He alone has the right to judge, and to Him you are to be returned.' كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ. وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ. (27-55:26) 'Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will remain forever.'

These ayahs remind us of the fact that everything will pass and be left behind.. And that from the moment I taste death and leave the world behind until the day I will get resurrected again, there will be only Him, my Lord, with me. So bear a litt

Allah takes care of His righteous servants. Yet, Allah's Care extends not just the servant himself/herself, but also ALL their affairs and those who around them. When Allah blesses the righteous, the blessings echo in the spaces and people around us too. Two orphans had wealth being guarded by Allah Himself for them because their deceased father was righteous. Allah was taking care of the affairs of this righteous father even after he had left this world through preserving the father's children. Preservation of the man's affairs extended to his offspring, his legacy. And would Allah take care of His righteous servant except in the most beautiful and excellent of ways? No, of course no

Day 13: 'Is the reward for goodness anything except goodness?' (5:60) We only have to do a bit of good in this world and through Allah's mercy, we have a mountain of good in store for us in the hereafter. An upright, decent person instantly earns the respect and affection of those around them. Also, Allah has made us in such a way that doing good deeds, like giving to the needy, actually feels good whilst doing sins makes us feel awful, thus fascilitating the way to the ultimate good: Jannah. Internally and externally, in the dunya and the a

That's a great point about how doing good feels good and doing bad feels bad! This is for people of sound nature and pure heart, and having the compass the right way like this is a sign that you are still in the good pleasure of God.

Yesterday, I read an amazing comment online that someone had heard in a lecture: 'Think of your grave like an empty treasure chest that you fill with your deeds throughout your life.' This reminds me of the ayahs that tell us that no deed is ever lost, even if it's the size of a mustard seed. Every time we make wudhu and pray, every time we read and reflect on the Quran, every encouraging word we speak, every form of charity, every smile, every time we exercise patience to do good or avoid haram... every deed, big or small, gets added to our treasure. No good deed is ever lost. And every good deed is an investment into our akhirah.
