‘Uqbah b. ‘Âmir narrates: While I was driving the Messenger of Allah (saws) through one of those narrow passages, he said to me: 'O ‘Uqbah b. ‘Âmir, should you not ride?' I held the Messenger of Allah (saws) too high in regard to ride in his stead, but he again said: 'O ‘Uqbah b. ‘Âmir, should you not ride?' I then feared that it would be insubordination, so the Messenger of Allah (saws) descended, and I rode for a short time. Anas narrates: As we were in the mosque with the Messenger of Allah (saws), a bedouin man came and stood up, urinating in the mosque. The companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'Woah! Woah!' The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'Do not interrupt him. Just leave him.' They left him alone until he finished, and then the Messenger of Allah (saws) called him over. He said to him: 'These mosques are not fit for urinating like this and squalor. They are only for the remembrance of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, prayer, and reciting the Qur’an.' The Messenger of Allah (saws) said something to that effect. He then instructed one of the men to bring a bucket of water and pour it over it. [A
