So this reflection is ayat 84 -87 I realize that Allah has also given me, house, land, capacity of mind, being able to think and act accordingly. What’s interesting about this ayat-to me- is we do this 'goal-setting' thing at the end of each year and typically our goals are about the 'next' thing — for us. And Dhzulkarnain was given everything—and he followed a way — the way of Allah. His role in this world was to: 87. He said, 'As for one who wrongs, we will punish him. Then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him with a terrible punishment. With what Allah gave him — he took it and followed Allah’s way. I wonder if taking what Allah has given me to step into the possibilities of what I already have can reach a goal that is pleasing to Allah — is better and more natural. So, if one is good at organizing that they might use these talents to help organize the Ummah. .. etc… Or if one has a knack for strategy, business, marketing that it might be used for the sake of the Ummah… Someone reminded me that when you work as a professional that we need to be aware that it is beneficial for our Ummah. I feel Allah has given each of us a path — just we are many times following a path to gain worldly things… May we not waste the talents Allah has given us. 🤲🏻
