In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Kind,

You awake. The horizon is dark and as you get up you recite the morning dua, you go to perform wudu and you perform your fajr Salah, afterwards you recite the morning adkhar, if you are one who recites the Qur’an in the morning you recite some Qur’an.

You know this day is a day that will never return.

You get ready to shower, eat breakfast, feed the children, go to work, go to college, go to school, take the children to their school, finish serving your elderly parents, finish the medication rounds and so on. Whilst on the way to work, during your outside the home tasks you proclaim the praises of Allah. Despite the ample time that you have, you use it to remember Allah.

You eat lunch and recite the dua before eating and you finish by remembering Allah and thanking Him for His sustenance.

You hear the call to the midday prayer and you know praying it on time means putting Allah before everything. Sometimes, it can be difficult but you strive to perform your prayers on their time. You are even more so diligent during Asr prayer. You recite the evening adkhar.

Returning back home you are in a state of gratitude for the rizq Allah has given to you. To show your constant gratitude you give a part of the rizq to another who is needy. You also smile because it is His rizq that you give to another, but still He has promised to reward you.

When you return home, you watch the sunset and pray your Maghreb Salah. The day has passed.

Not so long afterwards the sky turns very dark and you perform the last prayer - Isha. Reflecting upon your day and responsibilities. You retire to sleep engaging in reciting Ayatul Kursi and how the prophet peace be upon him spent his night time routine

This remembrance of Allah stops you from committing many sins and makes you cognizant of Allah, aware of His generosity and aware of your weakness. You perpetually seek His forgiveness.

Our days differ, our roles will differ, some of us have more responsibilities, some of us have different jobs, some of us differ with our health. Yet, in our different worldly situations, Allah comes first.

Remember one day it will be our last day. The more we remember Allah sincerely and place Him first, the more likely we increase our chances of leaving in a state pleasing to Him, Of course this is all by His Grace and His Mercy.
