مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ ۖ وَمَا عِندَ اللَّهِ بَاقٍ It's the subtlety and precision of how Allah says it that just overwhelms you. Such a beautiful expression in the Qur'an, That whatever we have in our possession is temporary. It will come to an end. Allah SWT used the verb ينفد to describe that, which in Arabic is called a Fi'l Fi'l is restricted to a tense, either past, present, or future. Hence, temporary. As for what Allah SWT has, باق, Allah SWT used an 'Ism' to describe that. Just as Ism's are not restricted to time, so too the provisions of Allah for us in the after-life are not limited, and will always remain.
