This beautiful surah has often been recommended to me to read and reflect on. This morning, though, I had a hard time coming to it. This is because I felt so unworthy of it. I was thinking that Allah SWT revealed it specifically for the Prophet SAWS alone (his being an orphan and feeling abandoned by Allah SWT at the time). But for someone so blinkered by the dunya like me? No, this surah couldn't have been intended to console me. Alhamdulillah that I went ahead and re-read the surah anyway. And I realized: the last few ayat, those that advise the listener to take care of orphans and the poor and to share and proclaim the word of Allah, couldn't possibly be destined only for the ears of the Prophet SAWS. Why? Because he didn't need to be reminded! He was already taking care of the orphans and the poor. So this surah IN ITS ENTIRETY must have been intended for those who need reminding to care for the vulnerable among our ummah. And that means you, me, and all of us who are NOT the best of creation. And that includes the promise in the surah that the afterlife will indeed be better for us. May Allah SWT accept our du'aa and grant us entry into Jannah, may we meet his Prophet SAWS, his family, and his companions there, and may Allah SWT grant us a glimpse of His face. Amin.

Sübhanallah. Your words reflect your sincerity towards the book of Allah, May He SWT accept your sincere intentions. Yes the Quran is indeed hidayah and Mauidha for mutaqeen. My first reflection on this platform was on this very surah, though it's not as sincere as your words are. Because I never came to this surah with this approach. But yes the word of Allah has a healing power it mends the hearts in need. May Allah SWT guide us to approach this book with humility and sincerity Ameen. Jazakallah khyr for sharing this enlightening reflection sister
