Tadabur on ayah 22 of surah Ar- Rahman: 'From both of them emerge pearl and coral.' In this ayah ALLAH SWT tells us that from both waters the pearls and corals come out which are used for various purposes by humans. From both waters means water of two seas, one is saltier and other is sweeter, but they both empty in oceans. Pearls are unique gemstones formed naturally within the shells of certain mollusks, like oysters and clams, and are known for their lustrous, iridescent quality, while shells, in general, are the protective outer coverings of these animals. SUBHANALLAH! Pearls are formed when a mollusk, like an oyster, encounters an irritant (like a grain of sand) inside its shell. To protect itself, the mollusk secretes layers of nacre, a pearly substance, around the irritant, creating a pearl.ALLAHU AKBAR! Nacre is the iridescent, lustrous substance that forms the inner layer of a mollusk shell and the outer coating of pearls. It's the nacre's quality and thickness that determine a pearl's luster and radiance.SUBHANALLAH!  Pearls come in a wide array of colors, including white, cream, yellow, pink, silver, and black.  Pearls have been prized for their beauty and rarity for centuries, and were once symbols of wealth and status, worn by royalty and nobility.SUBHANALLAH! The oldest known pearl jewellery dates back to 520 BC, found in the sarcophagus of a Persian princess.  Shells are the hard, protective outer coverings of mollusks, serving as a defense against predators and the harsh environment.ALLAHU AKBAR! Mollusk shells are primarily composed of calcium carbonate, the same material that makes up pearls.  There are many different types of shells, each with unique shapes, sizes, and textures, depending on the species of mollusk.  Shells have been used for art and crafts for centuries, with people using them to create jewellery, tools, and decorations.ALLAHU AKBAR KABIRAH! It's the only gem made by a living creature. Natural pearls are rarer than diamonds. No two pearls are alike.SUBHANALLAH! They're the world's softest gemstone. Pearls are formed when the mollusk secretes thousands of very thin concentric layers of nacre, a secretion of calcium carbonate in a matrix that eventually coats an irritant, either man made or natural.ALLAHU AKBAR! Pearls come from a living creature, rather than being mined from the ground. Most gemstones are formed in the Earth's crust and mined from the ground. However, pearls are unusual as they come from a living creature. The gemstones often form in oysters.SUBHANALLAH! White South Sea pearls are the third most popular pearl type - and the most expensive. Cultured in Australia using the silver-lipped Pinctada maxima saltwater oyster, these are considered the 'queen of gems'.ALLAHU AKBAR! Pearls are made by marine oysters and freshwater mussels as a natural defence against an irritant such as a parasite entering their shell or damage to their fragile body. The oyster or mussel slowly secretes layers of aragonite and conchiolin, materials that also make up its shell.SUBHANALLAH! 27.65 kilograms and 138,254 carats, the Giga Pearl holds the Guinness World Record as the largest natural pearl composed of calcite.SUBHANALLAH! The mantle goes into protection mode, encasing the irritant with layers upon layers of nacre, thus forming a pearl. The layers of nacre are extremely thin, so it can take two or more years to form a 3 to 5 mm pearl. Natural pearls are extremely uncommon — found in about one in 10,000 wild oysters.ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAH SWT uniquely designed everything, not a single pearl matches with other. ALLAH SWT also designed our life uniquely, so have complete trust on HIM SWT. 'Which of the blessings of your LORD you will deny?' SUBHANALLAH! Regards: Ayesha Zafar
