Anas b. Mâlik narrates that ar-Rabee‘ bt. an-Nadhr came to the Prophet (saws). Her son was Hârithah b. Surâqah, who was killed on the day of Badr when a stray arrow hit him. She came to the Messenger of Allah (saws) and said: 'Tell me about Hârithah. If he achieved success, then I will remain hopeful and patient. But if he did not achieve success I will make great effort in supplicating.' The Prophet (saws) said: 'O Umm Hârithah! There are multiple gardens in Paradise, and your son achieved al-Firdaws, the highest one! Al-Firdaws is the peak of Paradise, its center, and its best part.' [Authentic: Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (3174) in this wording, and at-Tabarâni in al-Kabeer (24/262), and Ibn Hibbân (958)]
