Bismillah, Alhamdulillah for being able to type out today's reflections and being able to share it with our community. On this Blessed Friday, I sit here in Bali's airport traveling back home, insha'Allah. As I sat down, I looked out into the terminal's window and saw the beautiful ocean and reminded me of this verse. The ocean is a reflection in which I am able to stare into and wonder how much am I able to see and how myself am limited to know how much water our world is able to hold. Similarly to this ayah, 'If the ocean were ink for ˹writing˺ the Words of my Lord, it would certainly run out before the Words of my Lord were finished, even if We refilled it with its equal.' Reflecting that everything in this dunya is limited, even water except our Lord who is the Only One, The Limitless (Al-Wasi) - ٱلْوَاسِعُ. This verse in Spanish, translates to the most indescribable verses because it does such a wonderful job on describing how 'even if We refilled it with its equal' as 'aunque se trajeran otros mares de tinta [equivalentes a los que existen]' los mares no serian suficientes para describir las palabras de nuestro Dios, Allah SWT. The ocean, our words, its measurements and other things amongst us were revealed not only to see, but to continue to reflect on the limitless wonders of the good deeds one can do even when we feel limited. Only He has given us and continues to give us the chances and opportunities to become better people and to only adore Him. For which is better for you and me, Ameen.
