Tadabur on ayah 4 of surah Ar-Rahman: 'And taught them speech.' In this ayah ALLAH SWT tells us HE SWT taught human being speech a unique trait given to only humans.SUBHANALLAH! Human speech involves complex vocal mechanisms, brain processing, and linguistic structures, with the left hemisphere generally dominant for language and speech production, while the right hemisphere handles intonation. ALLAHU AKBAR! Speech is generated by air passing over the vocal folds (vocal cords) in the larynx, which vibrate to produce sound.  Around 100 muscles are used when speaking. SUBHANALLAH! Humans have two language centers in the brain: Broca's area (speech production) and Wernicke's area (language comprehension).  There are 142 language families, and over 7,000 living languages.  Vocal cord paralysis can occur, leading to changes in voice or difficulty speaking. ALLAHU AKBAR! A whisper registers around 35dB, normal conversation at 60dB, and shouting at 75dB.  Just like fingerprints, each person's voice is unique. ALLAHU AKBAR KABIRAH! Approximately 93% of effective communication is nonverbal, while spoken words account for only 7%. About 93% of effective communication is silent. There are always concealed layers of facial expressions, postures, gestures, tone of voice, and underlying emotions.SUBHANALLAH! Studies have shown that the energy output in speech for a normally modulated voice is approximately 125 ergs per second.SUBHANALLAH! ALLAH SWT has given us the power of speaking by which we can spread positivity as well as negativity, now its upto us how we use this power as it is very unique blessing of ALLAH SWT. Human speech is a powerful tool for communication, enabling us to share ideas, emotions, and experiences, fostering social connections and influencing behavior, while also being a window into a person's identity and emotional state. ALLAHU AKBAR! Using this tool negatively one can cause misunderstanding, conflict and tension. Speech can be used to manipulate, deceive, or harm others, leading to social injustice and inequality.  May ALLAH SWT help us to use this tool in right way Ameen. Regards: Ayesha Zafar
