Recalling from a lecture by Sh Hamud Alsilwi about the secrets to happiness, one of which was constantly being in a state on gratitude. Ibrahim A.S seems to be the first person chronologically in the Quran to say the words الحمد الله Unless there's an hadith that states otherwise which I am unaware of, but from the Quran. Ibrahim is the first person. This shows a lot about Ibrahim's A.S character. Going through so many trials , yet the first to praise Allah with perfect words. Of course it was Allah that taught him these words.
