It’s so easy to get caught up in the endless hustle of life. Picture this: you’re a student pouring over textbooks to pass exams, then you’re rushing through college assignments, and before you know it, you’re in a 9-to-5 grind. You wake up, barely have time for Salah, rush to work or classes, and by the time you’re back, you’re exhausted. Weekends come and go in errands or relaxation, and it feels like there’s never enough time to do anything meaningful. In this endless cycle, we often lose sight of what really matters: the purpose of life. This world is temporary, a fleeting moment compared to the eternal life of the Hereafter. Yet we act as though the world is everything, constantly chasing money, status, and comfort, forgetting the reality we’re created for. Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever makes the Hereafter his goal, Allah makes his heart rich, and organises his affairs, and the world comes to him whether it wants to or not. And whoever makes the world his goal, Allah puts his poverty right before his eyes, and disorganises his affairs, and the world does not come to him, except what has been decreed for him.' Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2465 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani SubhanAllah, if we focus on pleasing Allah and preparing for the Hereafter, Allah will take care of the world for us. Our heart will feel content, our life will have direction, and we won’t have to chase the world, it will follow. But if we flip the priority and make the world our ultimate goal, life becomes chaotic, unsatisfying, and full of stress, and we still won’t gain more than what was already written for us. The real lesson here is balance: that we center our life around Allah. Renew our intentions and priorities and redirect our focus, and the monotony of life will transform into meaningful acts of worship. Bi idhnillah.

May Allah grant us the wisdom and discipline to prioritize the Hereafter while managing our worldly responsibilities in a way that pleases Him. Ameen.
