Da'wah through Ihsan  Recently I had the pleasure of speaking to one of my teachers Shaikh Al-Arabi Al-Bichri, who told me that public Daw'ah efforts are banned in France, yet despite this, many are guided to Islam. I asked how this was the case, to which he responded 'Many are inspired through the character of their Muslim friends and colleagues', and that was the single most effective form of Da'wah.  Among the practical lessons for those engaged in da‘wah is what Allah the Exalted mentioned about the da‘wah of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) in prison. The prisoners testified to his excellence in character, and this is the most effective way to win hearts and direct them toward faith in Allah. Allah says: 'And two young men entered the prison with him...' until His words: 'Indeed, we see you as one of the doers of good.' (Surah Yusuf: 36). Never underestimate the unspoken form of Da'wah, which is the way we express our values through action and not words. May Allah make us of those whose Ihsan bring others to guidance. Amen
