Alhamdulillah, I’ve finished memorising Al-Ma'arij 15–35, and these ayahs are now part of my salah.

In the midst of this situation in verses 8-14, the guilty hears something that closes the door to any fleeting hope. Indeed, all will listen to what makes the situation abundantly clear:

But no! It is the raging fire that tears the skin away. It will claim all who turn their backs, and turn away from the truth, amass riches and hoard them. (Verses 15-18)

There is absolutely no place for such impossible notions of escape, even though one would offer one's children, spouse, brothers, kinsfolk, and everyone else in ransom.

"But no! It is the raging fire." (Verse 15)

It rages on ready to burn, but it also "tears the skin away." (Verse 16)

It tears the skin off both the face and head. Here,

Assalamu alaikum from Musaddiq Mahmood!I knowI’m only seven years old but that doesn’t mean I can’t make a difference in the Muslim community. Surah ma’arij is my favorite Surah because it tells what you should not believe and you’ll get punishments for what you do. You have to remember that your deen is still important, and you would get punishments if you don’t follow it. When you forget about Allah, and don’t care about you religion, you will get punishments and bad deeds. Instead make Allah happy, and you will get better things!

Am I sending ahead what is needed to prepare for that Day?

..the day that will be the most difficult day

It is soon though it may seem distant. [ verses 6-7] Everything around us will change. [verses 8-9] Everyone will try to save themselves. [verses 10-14]

It will have worst outcomes for the one: [verses 15-16]

- who denied the truth. [verse 17] - who spent his life gathering wealth. [verse18]

Am I sending ahead what is needed to prepare for that Day?

But that requires obedience and obedience requires patience i.e.

- Accepting reality with pleasure - Patience with composure & dignity - Choosing to be patient as compared to being forced by circumstances to be patient

فَاصْبِر

How beautiful is this thought

Imagine that you really want a certain car. Unknown to you, your father has already bought that exact car for you. You don't know it yet, but your father does. In his heart, he keeps thinking, "Just wait, my child. I already have your gift ready."

Now imagine that somehow you find out that your father has already bought it. Whether you have to wait five days, one month, one year, or even sixty years, the waiting no longer feels as difficult. Why? Because you have complete trust that the car is already yours. The only thing left is the right time for you to receive it.
