'So let them respond to Me' This verse appears at the end of the passage where Allah gives us the prescription of Ramadan. Whenever I read it, I am awe-struck by the endearing expression: 'So let them respond to Me.' Allah the Almighty is not in need of our response to His call, but we are surely in need of His response to ours. Allah is not in need of our worship or dedication, but we are in dire need of worshipping Him. Yet the expression 'let them respond to Me' gives a profound sense of care and gentleness.
