Narrated by the prophet 'he who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter paradise' عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ' لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ' It all began when Iblis refused to obey Allahs orders to prostrate to adam (as). He thought himself much greater than a being created from clay, and so Allah had casted him out of Jannah and into Jahanam. Imagine, accompanying the Angels in Jannah and being as though you are one of them, but letting arrogance ruin that. This arrogance only spread through the people Allah has created. For instance, the tribe of Musa, Bani Israel. They had the blessings of Allah showing them things that no one else has seen before, he had even given life to a dead body. Yet, their arrogance was so great that all they did was stray from Allah and his blessings. As believers we should always remember to stay humble, to live as though everyday is our last. To remember what our ultimate goal is. Which is to get into Jannah. Arrogance and pride is a result from being deluded by this dunya. From forgetting our core value, which is that we are servants of Allah. Our only purpose in this dunya is to work for the akhira, to submit ourselves completely to Allah. We can’t guarantee where we will end up and so don’t think to yourself that you will be given jannah just for doing so and so. Or that you will go to jahanam for so and so reason. Allah does as he wills and grants whom he wills jannah or jahanam. 'May Allah purify our hearts of any atom of arrogance and allow us to be of those who are humble and submissive to him'

Allahuma Ameen ya rab. SubhanAllah. Kibr is such a serious thing to avoid. Its a hard animal to fight, Its like wrestling with urself. If u dont conquer it early it spreads. We have to make duaa for protection against it because Its very easy to have kibr and just think that we are better than other people. Especislly when Allah blesses us with so much.
