How should I prepare the heart to receive bad news? Why does it feel the deceased belongs to him & family forever? Doesn’t it know everything belongs to Him, as it utters Why it behaves as though it should have been delayed? Doesn’t it know death ceases undelayed? Why it cries such a young age every time? Doesn’t it know death sees no age? Why it quakes on an eventful day? Doesn’t it know everyone is going to die one day? Why it wants the dead to be in temporary life for long? Doesn’t it know dead departed to permanent life? Why it is not submitting or content with His decree at ease? Doesn’t it know Allah’s decree shall pass? O Allah protect our beloved, heal our sick, forgive our deceased, elevate our martyrs & give us the endurance to bear.

9mo agoAl-Baqarah (2:156)

JAK for this beneficial reflection of how the heart should prepare to receive bad news. I hope you're okay, Br Umar. Insha'Allah. The patience and strong will of believers show the true belief we have in Allah SWT power. As our faith increases, our perception of bad news should make us happy because it is what He SWT has ordained! There is wisdom in every event, and it shall come to light at our destined time. We should rejoice and embrace returning to Allah SWT full of good deeds insha'Allah.
