It is important to warn ˹the disbelievers˺ and remind the believers about social norms, because of the need to coordinate people's behavior and promote cooperation. This is about meta-knowledge: information about the knowledge of other people. Without this kind of knowledge, no society can function. For example, it is not enough that we know which side of the road to drive on. We also need to make sure that other people know this. Stories ensure that all members of society know and follow the 'rules of the game.'

كِتَابٌ ... علو منزلة القرآن الكريم من خلال التنكير، وما اشتمل عليه من البيان والإعجاز.

أُنزِلَ ... شرف القرآن الكريم، ونزوله من الله تعالى، وإثبات علو الله تعالى، وصدق الرسالة.

إِلَيْكَ ... إثبات بشرية النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، والردّ على المشركين الذين يزعمون أنّه مفترى من عند الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم.

حَرَجٌ ... التلطّف بالرّسول صلى الله عليه وسلم ؛ حيث جاء التّوجيه برفع الحرج، مع ثقل الدّعوة وصعوبة تبليغها.

مِّنْهُ ... رحمة الله بنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم ؛ حيث سيمُدُّه بالعون والتأيّيد والنصر من عنده سبحانه ليؤدّي مهمّة البلاغ.

مِّنْهُ ... توجيه للدعاة بالاقتداء بالأنبياء عليهم السلام ، بألا يتسرّب إليهم الحرج إذا واجهتهم العقبات.

لِتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ ... من أهمّ حِكم إنزال القرآن الإنذ

المداومة على قراءة هذا القرآن وتدبره سبيلٌ لتذكر الأعمال الصالحة، ولإصلاح الظاهر والباطن.

* القرآن العظيم كتاب هداية ونور، وشفاء لما في الصدور، فمن كان مؤمنا فلا ينبغي أن يشك فيه، ولا يتحرج في إبلاغه والإنذار به.

* الإنذار والذكري بالقرآن من غايات إنزاله؛ فالإنذار يُقبل بالشاردين، والذكرى تنفع المؤمنين، حيث تذكرهم بالله وبدينه.

* كان الناس قبل نزول القرآن في حرج وعتى، فلما نزل القرآن ذهب ذلك عمن آمن، ولكنه باقي لدى من لم يؤمن به، ولم يتبع ما جاء فيه.

الحروف المقطعة في أوائل السور أعقبت بذكر القرآن، أو الوحي، أو ما في معنى ذلك؛ وذلك يرجح أن المقصود من هذه الحروف التهجي إبلاغًا في التحدي للعرب بالعجز عن الإتيان بمثل القرآن. ابن عاشور:8/10. السؤال: لماذا يأتي ذكر الكتاب بعد ذكر الحروف المقطعة غالبًا؟

Are you SCARED to SHARE? This ayah rings in my head with a special tone, the voice of the teacher (Dawud Busnan, from Algeria) at a unique Qur'an reflection course I attended in Oman in 2017. Every now and then, he would invite a new volunteer to step up to the stage to answer a question, or summarise key points from the previous session. I'm sure each one of us would feel a little anxious to do it (including me, as I waited a few days before going up there!). Ustadh Dawud would always recite this ayah as the person walked up, and would make us all repeat after him in the same tone (and same Warsh recitation: 'Kitaabununzila ilayk... falaa yakun fee sadrika harajummminh... litundhira b

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most kind, Don’t let go, keep going until your end. I recently very much enjoyed reading MagdyHilali’s most recent reflection on having a regular relationship with the recitation of the Qur’an. May Allah reward her immensely Ameen! I am part of a Tadabbur group known as ‘Quran Crew’ and it consists of beautiful sisters from different parts of the world. We often set Tadabbur tasks and share reflections from this platform. Side by side I suggested we start reciting 5 pages a day. What would happen for us is if we missed one day we would end up having to recite 10 pages, sometimes 20 pages.
