PURPOSE OF LIFE : IT IS TO WORSHIP ALLAH (SWT)

🌸 Allah has mentioned clearly in the Qur’an(51:56) that the very purpose of our creation is to worship Him SWT. We are created to recognize and know who our Creator is. Our whole life should revolve around worshipping, obeying, remembering, loving, fearing, relying upon and thanking Allah. We must put Allah at the center of our lives, enslaving and submitting ourselves completing to Him.

🌸 We were sent to this Earth as a punishment of our disobedience to Allah. Our real, original home was paradise. We were created for it. So, now it's through our obedience and worship of Allah that we can attain what really belongs to us.

🌸 Now, what does the word 'worship' mean? The Arabic word 'Ibaadah' not only includes prayer. It includes prayer, but it also includes all the other actions that we do for the sake of Allah. It includes service to others, it includes being the best with our family members, it includes being just and truthful. This is our purpose. Everything permissible that we do, whether it be eating, doing household chores, studying, trading, doing a job, playing, travelling - if done for the sake of Allah and within the umbrella of Islamic principles- it becomes worship.

🌸 We must always remember Allah in everything that we do, and do every work for the sake of Him; in this way we would never feel lost and would always remain focused and directed towards our purpose.

JazakAllah for sharing this profound reflection on the purpose of life as stated in the Quran. Indeed, Allah SWT has clearly mentioned that our ultimate purpose is to worship Him.

The verse you mentioned, Qur'an 51:56, reminds us that our entire existence revolves around recognizing and knowing our Creator. It is through worshiping, obeying, remembering, loving, fearing, relying upon, and thanking Allah that we fulfill our purpose. By placing Allah at the center of our lives and submitting ourselves fully to Him, we can attain true fulfillment and find our way back to our original home, paradise.

You beautifully explain that worship, or 'Ibaadah' in Arabic, encompasses not only prayer but also all other actions done for the sake of Allah. It includes serving others, being kind and just, and maintaining strong family relationships. When we perform permissible actions with the intention of pleasing Allah and within the boundaries set by Islamic principles, they become acts of worship.

The importance of remembering Allah in everything we do is emphasized in your reflection. By constantly keeping Allah in our thoughts and intentions, we can stay focused and aligned with our purpose. Whether it is eating, studying, working, or engaging in daily activities, when done with the intention of seeking the pleasure of Allah, these actions become acts of worship.

Thank you for sharing this reminder of our purpose and the comprehensive nature of worship in Islam. May we all strive to live our lives in accordance with this purpose and seek the pleasure of Allah in all that we do.

Jazak Allah Khair for your contribution to the QuranReflect community. May Allah bless you
