Aiming to practice the 1st lens of

for Reflecting. The lens of wording/language.

It seems to me that the words heavens/skies and the earth have their literal and obvious meanings. To expand on them, perhaps they mean the physical space that encompasses us. Maybe these obvious physical things around us that we can touch are a manifestation of one of Allah's attributes - Al-Dhahir. Maybe our senses perceive the dhahir and our conception perceives some of the batin?

I think there is a drawing the reader towards the reality that he/she is most obviously confronted with. The world that we live in, that we stand on, that we touch, that we smell, that we hear, that we taste, that we see. I then think that in this world, Allah has created me. That all of us are also part of the heavens and the earth that he created.

The alternation of the day and night as phrase captures the concept of time. Again perhaps the visible night and day we see moving across us is the manifest, and the conception of time we cannot physically see, but we perceive an idea of it in the mind.

That these signs enable to us to contemplate, to reason, to enable us to come to the final conclusion without divorcing our reasoning in the world.

Allahualam. Nice exercise to do. I think I've also used a lens of connection here with surah hadid verse 3
