Tadabur on ayah 41 of surah Ar - Room: 'Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].' In this ayah ALLAH SWT tells us the consequenses of human action.Human misdeeds cause the corruption on land and water. This ayah has two dimentions, one is spiritual and other is physical. In spiritual sense, the misdeeds and violation of ALLAH’S SWT commandments causes the deterioration of heart and soul.Human beings have become the slave of their worldly desires and nafs. The competition for gathering more and more causes gread, jealousy, arrogance, selfishness, lack of purpose, lack of compassion and empathy,Dead relationships, lack of respect and gratitude, lack of love and humbleness. These are all the consequenses of human action. In the physical sense ,this ayah can be related to the ecosystem destruction and environmental pollution caused by human unchecked use of environmental resources. Environmental pollution encompasses various forms of contamination affecting air, water, soil, and other elements of the environment. Major types include air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution, and thermal pollution. Additionally, radioactive contamination, marine pollution, plastic pollution, and light pollution are significant concerns. This all caused by human actions. Industrial activities: Factories emit gases, chemicals, and waste into the air, water, and soil. Transportation: Vehicles release exhaust gases that contribute to air pollution. Agricultural practices: Use of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers can lead to soil and water pollution. Waste disposal: Improper disposal of waste, including plastic, contributes to land and water pollution. Deforestation: Clearing forests reduces the number of trees that can absorb carbon dioxide. Burning fossil fuels: Burning coal, oil, and gasoline for energy and transportation releases pollutants. Construction and demolition: Activities like brick and concrete production can cause air and noise pollution. Environmental pollution has widespread consequences, impacting human health, the environment, and the economy. It can lead to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, ecosystem damage, and climate change, with significant social and economic costs. Respiratory and Cardiovascular Diseases: Air pollution can cause or worsen respiratory illnesses like asthma and bronchitis, as well as heart disease and other cardiovascular problems. Cancer: Exposure to pollutants, including those in air and water, has been linked to an increased risk of certain types of cancer. Other Health Issues: Pollution can also lead to skin diseases, neurological damage, and developmental problems. Mental Health: Studies have shown a link between pollution and mental health problems. Environmental Impacts: Ecosystem Disruption: Pollution can damage ecosystems, leading to loss of biodiversity, habitat destruction, and disruption of food chains. Climate Change: Pollution, especially from greenhouse gas emissions, contributes to global warming, extreme weather events, and rising sea levels. Soil and Water Contamination: Pollution can contaminate soil and water sources, impacting agriculture and drinking water quality. Ozone Depletion: Some pollutants contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer, increasing UV radiation exposure. Economic and Social Costs: Healthcare Costs: Pollution-related illnesses and injuries increase healthcare costs. Reduced Productivity: Pollution can reduce productivity in both the agricultural and industrial sectors. Economic Losses: Damage to ecosystems and infrastructure, as well as the costs of pollution control, can lead to significant economic losses. Social Impacts: Pollution can reduce quality of life, affecting public health, well-being, and enjoyment of the environment. See how the human actions causes the destruction in every area of earth ,not just earth but in the air and space. Due to our misuse of resoures all the fields of life are disturbed .We are facing climate change, distorted weather patterns ,flood, drought, lack of pure food and water. As well as having effects on our health, air pollution can also be harmful to our natural environment. Pollutants in the air can be toxic to sensitive plants and trees, while pollutants in rainfall damage habitats by depositing acid or excess nutrients.By our actions we have turned our pure and beautiful planet into a place of discomfort for all the creatures present on earth. ALLAH SWT sent us on this planet as a voice gerant,we have to maintain the justice and balance in our spiritual and physical dimentions so that we become successful in our test. Our planet earth also have rights upon us we should maintain its balance and beauty. May ALLAH SWT grant us strength and consistency in our efforts to maintain the balance and keep our heart and environment pure.Ameen! Regards:Ayesha Zafar
