📖 Qur'an Reflection | Surah Al-Isrā' (17:78)

«"Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night, and the recitation of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed." — Qur'an 17:78»

Reflection:

In Surah Al-Isrā' (17:78), Allah gives special mention to the Fajr prayer:

«"Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed."»

The scholars explain that the Fajr prayer is witnessed by the angels of the night and the angels of the day.

If Allah honored Fajr with this special mention in the Qur'an, then let us never be among those who neglect it.

Let us guard all five daily prayers, for the Prophet ﷺ said that the first deed a servant will be brought to account for on the Day of Resurrection is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound; and if it is deficient, then the rest of his deeds will be deficient.

May Allah make us among those who establish the prayer, remain steadfast upon it, and die upon Islam. Āmīn
