بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Recently, I’ve been shaken. My heart — weary. My thoughts — scattered, all over the place. It feels like I’m being thrown in every direction. Yet every time, there is only one person that saves me every single time : Allah ﷻ. And I realize — He wants nothing but good for us. Our obedience is not loss — it brings goodness in this world, and reward in the next. Our abstaining from sins is not deprivation — it is protection in this world, and reward in the next. Why? Because of His mercy. So I look — though my vision is foggy, and I see only one rope, one way out: His rope ﷻ. And I wonder… Me? Am I even worthy? Am I even special? Then my heart turns to Palestine. Children stripped of their childhoods. Mothers forced to watch their little ones starve. Fathers watching their families — their lives — fade before their eyes. And suddenly, courage sparks inside me. If they, amidst all this, can still say: 'Hasbunallāhu wa niʿma al-Wakīl — Allah is enough for us,' then who am I to fall into despair? So I rise. I take steps to His open door ﷻ. Because dunya is dunya — fleeting, fragile. It is nothing compared to Akhirah. And SubḥānAllāh — when I could no longer carry the burden, I let it go. I placed it in the hands of As-Samīʿ, The All-Hearing. My heart could not contain it alone. And He opened doors I thought locked forever. So quickly. So unexpectedly. And I realized… If He willed, He could turn the tables for Gaza in a single moment. But His wisdom is unmatched. 'Perhaps you dislike a thing, and it is good for you.' (Al-Baqarah 2:216) 'If Allah wills good for someone, He afflicts him with trials.' (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5645) Ya Allah… Only Your Face will remain — full of majesty, light, and honor. Our hearts cannot carry this alone. Our strength is only with You. Without You, we are nothing. Our hearts tremble, our eyes overflow with tears, as we watch our brothers and sisters in Gaza — our mothers and fathers, our sons and daughters, our journalists, our doctors, even their animals — fall, one by one. Ya Allah, Grant us certainty in You, a belief that never shakes. Let us internalize the truth You have promised, so deeply that we never doubt: That they soar into Firdaws al-Aʿlā — happy, content, in bliss. No hunger. No bombs. No fear. Only the embrace of an Appreciating, Loving, Merciful Lord. Ya Rabb, Grant them victory. And make us a means for it. Āmīn.
