Every good deed needs a root, and if that root is not in Allah alone, even the most beautiful action can be swept away before it ever reaches the Hereafter. Shirk is the one sin Allah will not forgive without repentance, not because His mercy is limited, but because it is the one act that cuts a person off from the very source of all goodness and guidance. The believer may stumble and fall, but their roots are still in Allah, and turning back is always possible.

May Allah purify our hearts from every form of hidden and open shirk, and keep us firmly rooted in His oneness until we meet Him.

I have started reading Quran daily and also looking translation what i am reading. Everyone must do that so they will get guidance on their own. I came upon this verse and I think if every body understands the meaning of this. then no one will go to the dargah / mazar (shrines built over the graves of revered Muslim figures).

The surah explains that this depressing end is inevitable because God's forgiveness may include every sin except that partners should be associated with Him. When any person continues to associate partners with God until he or she dies, then forgiveness will not be granted:

"Surely Allah does not forgive associating others with Him in worship,but forgives anything else of whoever He wills. Indeed, whoever associates others with Allah has clearly gone far astray." (Verse 116)

You have only 6 hours to repent from the sin you did. You should be scared to death if you perform a sin and not ask Allah for repentance in the following Salah. 'Verily, the angel on the left side will raise his pen over the error or sin of a Muslim servant for six hours.
