Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). Surah Qaaf - 28 Worth pondering! Not a single word we speak or a single thought that crosses our heart and mind goes unnoticed, but the كاتبين ✍️ 📝 (the two recording angels) are writing them all as proof for us, to be presented before Allah on the Day of Final Hisaab (accountability) (The Two Recording Angels mentioned in the Quran Al Kareem) رَقِيب (Raqib) means the Watchful, he records the good deeds. عَتِيد (ʿAtīd) means the Ever Present - Ready, he records the bad deeds. If we could only keep this ayah in mind, how many sins (even those we commit unintentionally) could be avoided! Subhan Allah May Allah سبحانه وتعالى grant us the tawfeeq to ponder upon these verses and make us among the mindful, not among the heedless.
