This ayah translates in Spanish as follows: '[Juro] por los vientos que soplan, (1) por las nubes cargadas de lluvias, (2)'. It is a beautiful reminder that on this Blessed Friday I was able to witness a change of weather from last night's rain to this mornings sunshine. It is upon Allah's mercy to send who He pleases these clouds of rain so that He is able to help the people grow their crops, feed the animals, and water the plants. I am grateful to be able to make dua as the rain passes from one night to another day. I have been able to remember this beautiful dua Aisha (radiy Allahu anha) narrates: 'Whenever the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saw rain', he would say: (Allahumma) sayyiban nafi'a, (Oh Oh Allah) make it a beneficial rain (Bukhari 1032). When making this dua, the only thought that comes to mind is looking above and thanking Allah SWT for His mercy and for being able to witness such ayats (verses, revelations, reflections, etc.). Letting us be mindful of what we have and what we are able to obtain comes from The One and Only, Allah SWT, Al-Kabir (The Most Great) & Al-Azim (The Magnificent).

Assalamu Alaikum! While reading your beautiful reflection, I was reminded of another supplication related to rain. We have been experiencing thunderstorms lately and you reminded me to make this Du`a. May Allah bless you and Increase you.

سُبْـحانَ الّذي يُسَبِّـحُ الـرَّعْدُ بِحَمْـدِهِ، وَالملائِكـةُ مِنْ خيـفَته

Subḥāna ‘l-ladhī yusabbiḥur-ra`du bi ḥamdihi wa ‘l-malā'ikatu min khīfatih. Glory is to Him Whom thunder and angels glorify due to fear of Him. Reference: Whenever Abdullah bin Zubair (RA) would hear thunder, he would abandon all conversation and say this supplication. See Al-Muwatta' 2/992. It was graded authentic by Al-Albani as a statement of Abdullah bin Zubayr only.
