Surah Abasa 80:24 ‎فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِۦٓ

Let man consider the food he eats….

A practical tafseer of this ayah is to sit and look at the food you eat. Take a moment before your next meal or snack and consider the individual ingredients that make it.

Who created the earth in which it grew?

Who made that earth fertile for growth?

Who decided which part of the world and which climate would be best for it?

Which animal was it derived from?

What did the animal eat and who provided for them?

Who sent down the rain?

Who split the earth and allowed the seeds to grow?

Who created man and gave them the knowledge of planting and harvesting?

How many processes did it go through before it was ready to purchase?

Who gave us the ability to work in order to purchase the item?

Ofcourse the answer to all is Allah, but think about the hundreds, if not thousands of things that need to be perfect for us to enjoy just one ingredient. Now multiply that by the dozens of ingredients in most meals.

Alhumdulillah!

Try the above and then see how the ayah ‘And Allah is the Best of Providers’ hits so much deeper.
