Allah begins this Surah by answering with the guidance that we asked Him for in Surah al-Fatiha by saying that this is the book in which there is guidance. Following this verse, Allah tells us that the Quran is a guidance for the believers: those who believe in the unseen. Then at the end of the Quran in Surah an-Nas Allah tells us to seek refuge in Him from the Shaytan and amongst the functions of the Shaytan mentioned are the whispers and doubts that he brings to us. The real battle is often inside the heart, not outside. This makes me more compassionate toward myself and others, because everyone is silently fighting thoughts and emotions. Turning to dhikr, dua, and Qur’an becomes a way to clean and calm the heart and focus on the good and positive thoughts.

This is a very profound surah and I experience it when shaytan whisper a thought in my mind I just recite the sura and then I am mindful of Allah and not thinking about the thought..it helps me to avoid sin because of this I never think of sin and when you stop thinking about a things you will never indulge in to them Allah tells us to seek refuge in Him from the Shaytan and amongst the functions of the Shaytan mentioned are the whispers and doubts that he brings to us. Breast/chest is the outer shell that surrounds the heart. So shaytan has access to your chest and not the heart. Think about it: shaytan only knocks at your door all the times, he cannot access it unless you respond by opening it or not. If you completely ignore it, you're safe! If you let him in, he'll come in as a force bigger than you and start beautifying for you what's bad & portraying what's beautiful as bad. Don't let him into your heart!
