'But remind with it (i.e; the Quran)'
A few days ago, I was advising a friend about something, telling her not to do it. I tried every possible way to explain it to her, gave her different arguments, and even highlighted the dark realities of our society. But she didn’t understand my point and, to some extent, became upset with me. I felt very troubled after that and couldn’t figure out how to make her understand.
A couple of days ago, I was listening to a lecture by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan while being quite distracted. When I read the translation of a verse and started paying attention to the Ustadh, he emphasized twice, saying, 'Advise through the Qur'an.' That made me pause. It was then that I realized I had tried every way to explain things to my friend, but I had forgotten to use the Qur'an for guidance. I didn't share any verse or example from it, even though advice should be given through it. True guidance lies within the Qur'an, which can turn hearts. Other arguments don’t have the same impact as the Qur'an does.
This made me reflect on how often we overlook such teachings in the Qur'an and fail to ponder over them.
