~ Never forbidden ~ I was reading a portion of my morning Quran when I had reached Surah Al Waqi'ah. This is such a beautiful Surah, especially how Allah ﷻ introduces and draws attention to the three most important groups on the day of judgement, whereupon He ﷻ explains very beautifully and in detail, which rewards these specific groups will receive. Allah ﷻ describes things with such visual precision, that He ﷻ makes sure to His ﷻ servants that these are indeed the wonders that are hidden in the unseen world, waiting for you, and making you look forward to it. I love the way how He ﷻ describes paradise and how He ﷻ takes the time to mention certain details that show us our Lord's infinite Kindness. For example, how we know that most Lote trees are known to have thorns in this life, but Allah ﷻ kindly reminds you that the Lote trees in Paradise will have no thorns at all. He ﷻ also delicately mentions how the fruits are in clusters, that there will be enough of shade and flowing water, and unlimited abundance for everyone. And so much more than we could ever imagine. Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And then He ﷻ mentions; وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ ~ and abundant fruit.. - Quran 56:32 Try to recall how often Allah ﷻ mentions Paradise in combination with its fruits, so much so that it made me think. And then I read the next ayah, where Allah ﷻ says about these fruits that they are; '..never out of season, nor forbidden ..' You know, Allah ﷻ could have just mentioned the part where He ﷻ says that these fruits would never go out of season, so we would understand how wonderful the abundance and the variation of fruits there will be in Paradise. But the fact that Allah ﷻ wanted to add that ayah where he especially mentions that these fruits are not forbidden, left me in awe. Because when you think of it, remember how this story of life once started. How our parents, Adam ﷺ and Hawa رضي الله عنه were in Paradise before, and how Allah ﷻ tested them by a tree, asking them to not eat from it. And the reality of this worldly life with trials, had started by this very first test; to not eat from a tree that was once forbidden. A fruit that was forbidden. When I read that ayah, I thought how Kind it was of Allah ﷻ, to make sure that He ﷻ emphasized that again. As if to say; ' Your test is over now ' ' no fruit is forbidden here anymore ' ' ever again ' I thought that to be the sweetest thing, sweeter than the taste of that fruit that is waiting for you, a fruit that will never be forbidden again. May Allah ﷻ grant us the joy to reside eternally in His ﷻ Presence, ameen. ~ Leila
