When we recite Surah Al-Fatiha, we ask Allah for guidance to the right path for His help so we do not go astray. We ask Allah for help, for guidance, because we believe in Him as the only One who can guide us. The guidance we seek can be found in the Qur'an. As believers we need to read and understand the message of guidance from the Book of Allah.

Reading the whole Qur'an is of great importance because we have a comprehensive view of what is expected of us as believers and what we need to guide us so we do not go astray.

But when we decide to believe in some parts of the Qur'an and ignore other parts , we are straying from the path of guidance and setting ourselves up for disgrace / destr

At a time I was never in existence but the world was and so were some other people before me. ThenI was conceived, I was birthed and I'm here at this moment. One day I'll cease to be here in this world and one day I'll be resurrected again.

I go to bed every night, not aware or I'm control of what happens when my eyes are closed in deep sleep. I have no idea what's going on around me either. When I wake up, it's not by my power or might either because there are days my alarm goes off and fails to wake me up because I am deep in sleep. There are days my eyes are opened , I'm up from bed before the alarm goes off and on some days I wake up to the sound of the alarm. All these are not in my co

Máa Shaa Allah I'm a Muslim. It is certainly the decree of Allah.

I was born to a Christian Mum and Muslim Dad, who was not so much practising Islam. Growing up we attended church during the Christmas and new year festival with my Mum. Despite that we have 3 Muslim families as neighbours in our compound.

We (the children) would all go together everyday to the nearby masjid for solah, jumu'ah on Fridays, and Taraweeh during Ramadan One of the parents would also ensure we all went together to the praying ground during Eid. Those were some beautiful memories. They were actually seeds Allah planted in our (my siblings and I) hearts for the love of Islam, because we are all practising Muslims

This is a gentle reminder from Allah that Ramadan serves to strengthen us, train our nafs, put a check on our weaknesses;

•What we feed our body •What we watch with our eyes •what we listen to with our ears •what speech comes out of our mouth •what deeds we indulge in with our limbs

When we are able to restrain our selves, it helps us increase our level of awareness of Allah, our Taxes becomes stronger.

Just like weight lifting strengthens the muscle, cardio strengthens the heart, Fasting in Ramadan strengthens our 'spiritual muscles'. It helps to build our defences against these nafs that could destroy us.

Being conscious of Allah helps us define our character, align our values and

As Ramadan gets closer , it's a time for us to renew, re charge and refresh our character. It's a time for us to be more mindful of Allah in our actions, thoughts, our whole entirety.

In our daily life , consciousness of Allah should take priority for us to attain goodness in this life and the Next, because Allah's promises are true

JazakAllahu khayran for sharing this heartfelt reflection. Your attachment to the Quran really comes through, and that love is something beautiful to hold on to. You highlighted an important truth from this ayah: that the Book has been explained with knowledge and serves as guidance and mercy. SubhanAllah, how comforting is it to know that we are not left wandering without direction? When Allah describes the Qur’an as *hudā wa rahmah*, it reminds us that guidance is not harsh or dry. It is wrapped in mercy. You may consider expanding a little more on what “explained in detail” means to you personally. How have you experienced that guidance in your own life? Has there been a moment when returning to the Qur’an helped you feel less lost? Adding a brief example can make your reflection even more powerful and relatable. May Allah make the Quran the light of our hearts, the spring of our chests, and the remover of our worries. Keep reflecting and keep returning to His words. There is always more to discover. * QuranReflect Review Team Member
