ترجمہ :. یعنی وہ لوگ جو صبر کرتے ہیں اور اپنے پروردگار پر بھروسا رکھتے ہیں. ( Ayat No. 42 سورة نحل)

صبر... ویسے تو صبر کے لفظی معنی برداشت کرنا ہے لیکن صبر کے ایک اور معنی بھی ہیں چلیں میں اپنے داتی تجربے سنا کر تھوڑا hint دیتی ہوں آپ لوگ guess کریں٫ زبردستی نہیں بس چاہتی ہوں تھوڑی سی کوشش کریں میں آخر میں بتا ہی دوں گی.. تو بس بات کچھ یوں ہے کہ آپ سب تو جانتے ہی ہیں ہم انسانوں میں یا پھر یہ کہنا بہتر رہتا کے ہم کمزور انسانوں میں جتنا بھی ایمان ہوتاہے وہ حالات کے حساب سے کبھی کم اور کبھی بڑھتا رہتا ہے چند دنوں سے میرے ساتھ بھی کچھ ایسے ہی ہو رہا تھا . اور مجھے بس ایک ہی فکر تھی کہ اگر ایسا ہی چلتا رہا تو میں سارے وقت کا حساب کبھی نہیں دے پاؤ

The people who migrate, leaving their homes, abandoning all property and belongings, sacrificing an easy life with their own people and communities, seeking only God's reward, such people have important qualities which deserve God's reward. Hence, when they persevere in the face of hardship and are 'patient in adversity," their reward is assured. This is because they:

"place their trust in their Lord." (Verse 42)

They associate no partner with Him in belief, reliance, and trust.

These verses speak to us amidst the genocide in Gaza. There is an amazing connection between the opening and closing of this sūrah. In the very first verse, Allah says: 'The command of Allah is at hand, so do not hasten it. Glorified and Exalted is He above what they associate ˹with Him in worship˺!' (Quran 16:1) The opening calls us to refrain from haste and assures us that Allah’s decree is already in motion, and the closing of the surah commands us to bear with patience. The sūrah also contains similar reminders to patience, such as in 16:42 (see reflection here:

. And finally, it ends with a call for the Prophet (peace be upon him)
