Reflection on Surah Az-Zumar 39:53–54
Sometimes we look at our past and feel like we’ve gone too far. Too many mistakes. Too many sins. We may even start thinking, “Maybe Allah won’t forgive me anymore.”
But these verses remind us that Allah’s mercy is bigger than our sins.
Allah tells us not to lose hope in His mercy. No matter how many times we have fallen, the door to Allah is still open. What matters is that we turn back to Him sincerely.
And verse 54 reminds us not to keep delaying that return.
We don’t know how much time we have. So if there is something between us and Allah, let’s fix it now. Ask for forgiveness. Leave the sin. Pray. Come back to Him.
Maybe the person we were yesterday isn’t the person Allah wants us to remain today.
You are not too far gone. Your past is not bigger than Allah’s mercy. Just turn back to Him.
