Allah says in verse number 185 in Surah Al Baqarah; 'Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity, with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then ˹let them fast˺ an equal number of days ˹after Ramadan˺. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful.' And who hasn't felt that Ramadan comes every year as a rehabilitation for our spiritual, emotional and physical health? It comes to lift you up when you are at the brink of drowning into negativity. It leaves once it has brought you ashore, shown you some light and lifted your spirits. You feel rejuvenated to commence the following year afresh, like no other. So brothers and sisters, let's keep the momentum going. Do not let the spirituality fade away. Even one new habit can change your year ahead. For instance, reciting a portion of the holy Quran every day or praying Tahajjud. 'And the most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are continuous, even if they are few.' [Sunan an-Nasa’i] May Allah help us all do our best. Ameen
