The Quran on dealing with fear!

Sharing this reflection from Lebanon in the first week in August of 2024, on the verge of another Israeli attack, We held a session of our

, and had folks join us from different parts of the world: US, UK, India, Afghanistan, etc. During the same week: there was political unrest in the UK, Overthrowing of a dictator in Bengladesh, ongoing war in Gaza, and the list goes on...

What was common among all of our experiences: each and every one of us had something to be fearful from, This life is not meant to be Jannah, and we will continue to experience some level of fear, until we meet Allah, and until we hear from the angels: 'Do not Fear, and do not grieve'

When the companions of the Prophet PBUH were told: The armies has gathered against you, so FEAR THEM. The Ayah did not say that believers ignored the feeling of fear, and made it disappear from their lives. Instead, it said: 'This whole experience increased them in faith'

Yes, faith and fear could coexist in the heart of a believer! But this means that we should not SURRENDER to fear! we should not let it take over and control our lives! We should always remember that Allah is in control! and that should be enough for us, and hence the beautiful dua: Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best to take care of my affairs..
