In this section Ibrahim AS invokes a prayer that believers have been repeating and will repeat until the end of times iA. We can learn many lessons from this dua. We are taught how to setup a dua with praising Allah and glorifying his greatness and then to thank Allah for his blessing. Then we hear the rest of the dua of Ibrahim asking Allah to make him and his progeny people who establish prayer and he asks Allah for forgiveness for himself, his parents and for all Muslims. We are taught that in making a dua to start with one self. We are also taught there is no limit to what we can include every Muslim in our prayers. We are also taught that forgiveness should be goal for the believer and one method of achieving forgiveness from Allah is to forgive people who have wronged us.

{ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاة } أي: اجعلهم موحدين مقيمين الصلاة لأن إقامة الصلاة من أخص وأفضل العبادات الدينية فمن أقامها كان مقيما لدينه،
