According to Dr Israr Ahmed comments on Quran Tasfeer 27:50 timestamp YTube (video no 53), Those among us who say my Prophet is afzal then all other prophets (Isa,moosa etc (pbut)) is against the prophet's word.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: 'Do not prefer me over Yunus bin Matta (Jonah).' (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 65, Hadith 4831)

In a Hadith, Prophet (pbuh) told not to give him virtue (fazilat) even over Yunus ibn Matta (he is the only rasool whom Allah has punished in this world ). Indubitably, he is afzal, but discussing him in this manner creates a negative qualification (manfi kaifiyat) with others (probably he meant other religion people and in the realm of dawah)

Abu Hurayrah narrates that the Prophet (saws) said: 'Recitation was made easy for David. He would order his steed to be saddled, and would then recite before it was finished' (referring to the Scripture). [Authentic: Narrated by al-Bukhari (4713)]
