Al-Baqarah ayah 282. Allah swt knows the nature of humans, they can easily change their minds/hearts, be tempted by the shaitaan. And the consequences of this are major, people fall out with each other, families break relations over money etc. It would be so much easier on ourselves just to follow what Allah swt tells us.
