I have read this verse many times before, and it makes me reflect that Allah (SWT) commands us not to let our eyes crave what others have, because it may be a test for them and is only temporary, short-lived worldly sustenance. It encourages us to be content with what Allah (SWT) gives us. When we see blessings upon others, we should make dua for them.

On the other hand, I noticed two attributes of Allah in this verse: The Just and The Most Merciful. Allah (SWT) knows His servants; if they do not accept faith, there will be no Paradise for them in the Hereafter. So, perhaps Allah (SWT) gives them many worldly blessings as a test and a mercy as well.

This time, I also noticed that Allah (SWT) validates our inner struggles and emotions. He (SWT) does not blame us; He gently warns us against craving and gives explanations to help us understand.

In addition, Allah concludes this verse—'But your Lord’s provision is far better and more lasting'—to inspire us to seek the most genuinely valuable, everlasting sustenance in the Hereafter, and to keep us focused on the worship of Him toward the most lasting provision.
