I am just amazed by how the Quran encourages us regarding the act of 'giving'. 🔹Giving is the road to 'ٱلْبِرَّ-righteousness'. 🔹 The reward of giving is multiplied. 🔹And best of all Allah will forgive our sins. We should all practice this deed. Because practicing an act makes it your habit. 'Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status.' Sahih Muslim 258

A motive lies behind every deed, decision, and act of worship. Our motives are the engines behind our actions. They stem from our most fundamental feelings: love, hate, fear and desire. To get ourselves to do something, we have to be motivated. When we love, we will do anything to please our loved one and guard them from harm, even at great inconvenience to ourselves. Every day, we do things that are difficult or seemingly inefficient, because we are motivated by something greater than the action itself. Parents stay up at night when their children are sick out of love and fear for their well-being. We undergo uncomfortable medical procedures, and many of us exercise to the point of soren
...Yesterday, I read an amazing comment online that someone had heard in a lecture: 'Think of your grave like an empty treasure chest that you fill with your deeds throughout your life.' This reminds me of the ayahs that tell us that no deed is ever lost, even if it's the size of a mustard seed. Every time we make wudhu and pray, every time we read and reflect on the Quran, every encouraging word we speak, every form of charity, every smile, every time we exercise patience to do good or avoid haram... every deed, big or small, gets added to our treasure. No good deed is ever lost. And every good deed is an investment into our akhirah.
There’s a certain brilliance in the old saying: 'Stop and smell the roses' To slow down, to notice the world around you, and to realize that the creator of such beauty is the source of all beauty. And roses are - like many other flowers - pretty, full of color, life, and they smell lovely!
But not ALL flowers are held in such high regard. Some hold a status far below the beauty of roses, tulips, and other pretty blossoms… Some are in fact considered pesky weeds! Many of us go great lengths to remove them from our yards, hoping for that nice clean lawn.
Imagine for a second, someone you loved dearly, collected these ‘ugly’ flowers, tied them up in a nice bunch, and gave them to you as a gi
